Notification for the supply of good quality Goats and Sheep for local and export markets

Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) is a state corporation established by an Act of parliament to procure process and sell meat and meat products for both local and export market. The Commission is currently engaged in large business for Sheep and Goats and is seeking suppliers of good quality slaughter stock to be delivered to its Athi River factory on a continuous basis between Sunday and Friday .Therefore the Commission is seeking interested suppliers of slaughter stock with the following specifications:

Goats

Breed - Galla and Small East African

Age     - up to one and half years

Sex     - preferably males

Weight-15 to 20 kgs live weight (6-9 kg carcass weight)

Conformation -should have good finish

Target Areas- Whole Country

 Sheep

Breed -Merino and Dorper                                                                                                             

Age -above 6 months

Sex - both males and females

Weight - 30 kg and above live weight (Above 13 kg carcass weight)

Conformation- should be well finished

Target Areas-Marakwet, Laikipia, Kitale, Eldoret. Laikipia, Samburu, Narok, Nakuru, Kajiado, Kericho, Iten, Machakos, Taita/ Taveta Districts

NOTE

All livestock supplied must be sanctioned by the Directorate of Veterinary Services through a valid livestock movement permit.  Livestock arrival to the Factory is between 7am and 6pm.

Payment:    Payment is done by cheque on day 7 of delivery (one week)
